Instead of just being the environmental consultant’s role, it is the responsibility of every team member involved in the project. Sustainable design means working with existing structures, landscapes, cultures, civilisations and materials – especially those that are recyclable.
Everyone from small grassroots initiatives and individuals to large corporate multinationals and governments, has come to the realisation that we can’t continue depleting earth’s resources without planning for the next generation.
Yet, sustainable development is not as intimidating as we sometimes make it out to be.
